One Man’s Trash is Another Man’s… Trash

One of the wonderful things about living on the side of a hill is the amazing view we have to the west; nearly every evening Sweet Baby G and I pause to watch the sunset.

But the flip side of that coin is that there’s a road further up the hill above our driveway, and – sadly – some people think that they can get rid of unwanted stuff simply by pitching it over the side of the road.

To them, their stuff magically disappears. To us, their stuff magically reappears… right above our driveway.

So today I pulled as much stuff out as I could: a fridge, a water heater, an oven, a couple of metal barrels, a bed frame, a high chair, lots of bottles and cans… you get the idea. I have a few more appliances to “persuade” down the hill, but for now my little trailer is full.

We’ll find a service to haul this stuff away, and I’ll do my best to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to people dumping their junk. And Sweet Baby G and I are still thankful for each and every amazing sunset!
